Photographer Blogs

Over here at Digimarc we are always on the lookout for bloggers that comment and provide feedback or reviews of our products and technology. We recently did a promotion with John Batdorff, an award winning landscape and travel photographer. The promotion included a give away of a free Digimarc for Images account as well as discount coupons to all of his readers. You can visit his website and view the promotion by clicking here. Many of his wonderful and amazing images are shared as well.

So for all you photographer bloggers out there, would you like to run a promotion with us too? It's not too hard, just let me know and we can discuss a promotion that is right for you and your readers.

Scripting in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8

Blog_elements8box Over the last couple of weeks there have been a couple of comments to my post on how to create a script in Photoshop to automate the embedding process.

Specifically, Charmen and Raffi were asking about using scripts in Adobe Elements to automate the embedding process.

Adobe Elements 8 does not support the user to record/create action scripts. About 5 years ago it was possible to take a Photoshop script, export it and load it into Elements. Webcast: How the Missouri History Museum is Making Some Money

Missouri History Museum I will co-present a webcast Tuesday, June 8 @ 10:00am PST. The event will feature how The Missouri History Museum (MOHIST) is leveraging their image collection to bring revenue into their organization.

Several months ago, MOHIST put in place the image licensing solution from ImageSpan called LicenseStream. In short, this great solution quickly offers image owners of all kinds an online store front, which allows licensing of their image collections. You will learn about the issues that MOHIST had leading up to this solution being put in place. Many of these issues should ring familiar if you have anything to do with this kind of thing in your business.

MOHIST also digitally watermarks their online and licensed images, allowing them to gain an understanding of how their images are used after the license is put in place.

This is a "real-world" case study webcast that should be easy to relate to. I hope you take a few minutes out of your day Tuesday to join us!  Click here to sign up!
